PROJECT PARANOICO
The project “Paranoico” was started in 2005, and was finish completely on the first days of October 2008. Set in Venice, it is the culmination of an interpretation of the various approaches to life.

Everything unfolds in Venice. A young man suffering for love abandons himself to his own paranoia, living his daily life between psychedelic flashes, visions, dreams and memories, on the border between the real and the unreal. While initially he gives up on his own passive existence, he slowly decides to accept his suffering, changing his view of things and deciding to truly, actively live.

In “Paranoico” culminates the endeavor to fuse the realistic, normal state of being, composed of the ordinary daily life of the protagonist, with a surreal and trancelike state, composed of dreams, psychedelic flashes and mental visions. Starting out in a condition of paranoia and isolation, as the story evolves, the protagonist’s pessimistic view changes into a positive outlook on life. ‘Paranoico” embodies the comprehensive conclusions of an intense journey initiated six years earlier, composed of reflections, studies, experimentations and research in the audio-visual sphere, which served the director to gain the degree of lucidity and consciousness necessary for the design and realization of the film.
